St. Joseph’s recruiting experienced RNs for new operating rooms

SYRACUSE — St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center announced it is recruiting “experienced” registered nurses (RNs) to staff its new operating-room (OR) suite that opened last summer.

St. Joseph’s has scheduled an open house for Jan. 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the hospital’s OR conference room. The hospital will offer free parking in the medical office center parking garage for the event.

St. Joseph’s offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible RNs and a relocation reimbursement, as well as individualized orientation for new hires, the hospital said in a news release.

In addition, the hospital offers its employees a $5,000 “finder’s fee” for worker referrals that eventually lead to OR hires, St. Joseph’s said.

To register for the open-house event, visit www.sjhsyr.org and click on upcoming classes. To apply online, visit www.sjhsyr.org/careers, the hospital said.
