St. Luke Health names assistant director of rehab therapy department

Teall Karn

OSWEGO — St. Luke Health Services recently announced it has appointed Teall Karn as assistant director of its Rehabilitation Therapy Department.

Karn is a graduate of Keuka College with a master’s degree in occupational therapy, who brings her extensive clinical experience in both short-term and long-term rehabilitation services in the skilled-nursing setting to the Oswego–based health-care provider.

“As Assistant Director I will work to ensure that our therapy team delivers high quality, holistic services to our patients,” Karn said in a news release. “As a licensed Occupational Therapist I will draw upon my experience to focus services on maximizing our patient’s ability to reach their individual goals of improving or maintaining their ability to perform daily activities.”

Karn will join physical therapist Chuck Besa — who was recently named the new director of the St. Luke Health Services Rehabilitation Therapy Department — in leading a team of professionals that includes physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and therapy assistants.

St. Luke Health Services is a part of the St. Luke Family of Caring, an affiliation of community-based, not-for-profit health care and residential-service providers serving the greater–Oswego County area. It said it is the largest provider of residential skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation services in Oswego County.
