St. Luke Health Services chooses its next CEO

Gill has worked for the St. Luke organization for 32 years, starting as the organization’s controller in 1988. She was later appointed assistant administrator of St. Luke Health Services in 1993 and then as COO for St. Luke and affiliates in 2003.

“The board of directors is pleased to appoint Ms. Gill to this position as she brings a wealth of professional experience to her new role,” Jerome Mirabito, president of the St. Luke board of directors, said. “Catherine has been a critical part of the growth and development of our not-for-profit organizations and our mission in the community. Her dedication and professionalism has earned Ms. Gill the respect of her colleagues and co-workers, and the board of directors has every confidence that those who rely on our affiliate organizations will be well served under her leadership.”    

Gill is a lifelong resident of Oswego, graduating from Oswego High School and from SUNY Oswego, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1988; a master’s degree in management in 1994; and a master of business administration degree in 1997.

She also earned her New York State Nursing Home Administrator’s license in 1998, per the news release.       

She is a member of LeadingAge New York, which is headquartered in Latham, near Albany. She previously served a few of its subcommittees. Gill is also a past board officer for the New York Association of Long Term Care Administrators, St. Luke said.

The St. Luke Family of Caring is an affiliation of community-based, nonprofit health-care and residential-service providers serving the greater-Oswego County area. The organization includes St. Luke Health Services; Bishop’s Commons Enriched Housing Residence; and St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence.

Together they provide care and services to more than 300 individuals daily and employ more than 400 people, per the news release.
