CAMDEN, N.Y. — New York State Police announced they have arrested three Oneida County men and charged them with burglary and other offenses.
State Police from Sylvan Beach and Lee on Tuesday responded to a reported burglary of a building on State Route 69 in the town of Camden. State Police didn’t identify the building or address.
Troopers say they were called to the scene by utility workers in the area who witnessed an apparent burglary in progress. After being confronted by the utility crew, two suspects fled into a nearby wooded area while the third suspect took off in a pickup truck, State Police say. The driver of the pickup truck found the other two suspects and they fled from the scene.
Troopers set up a perimeter with help from state Environmental Conservation Police and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. They found the suspect’s vehicle and all three suspects were taken into custody without incident. Troopers also found the proceeds from the burglary in the suspects’ possession. State Police did not identify the items stolen, nor disclose their value.
The following three men were arrested:
- Adam P. Willson, age 39 from Taberg, was charged with 3rd degree burglary, a felony, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
- Cory L. Sauer, age 35 of Camden, was charged with 3rd degree burglary, a felony.
- Christopher A. Walker, age 32 from Westdale, was charged with 3rd degree burglary, a felony, and 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor.
- All three suspects were arraigned in Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on their own recognizance. They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Camden Court on March 11.
