SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University (SU) and IMG College on Tuesday announced a new multi-year license agreement for IMG to serve as the multimedia-license partner for SU Athletics.Neither side released any terms of the new agreement.

Under the new pact, IMG will market and sell corporate sponsorships; manage radio game broadcasts for the athletics’ department sports programs; and produce coaches’ television shows and other programming and publications, SU said in a news release.

IMG will also market other assets of the athletics department, including certain digital entities, venue signage, in-game promotions, and other sponsorship recognitions in conjunction with university-athletic events.

SU started working with IMG in 1999, the school said.

In “revitalizing” the partnership, IMG will work in conjunction with the university’s athletics department to bring national, regional and local sponsorship and media support to the university’s athletic programs, SU said.

SU is “excited” to begin the new partnership with IMG and its new parent company, William Morris Endeavor, Daryl Gross, director of athletics at Syracuse University, said in the news release.

“This new agreement will maximize our interests, allowing us to further support our student-athletes on the field and in the classroom, and compete at the highest level in the ACC and nationally for years to come. The combination of the IMG College platform with the new leadership, ideas and opportunities brought forth by their new parent company, William Morris Endeavor, will bring us a dynamic and exciting opportunity unrivaled in college sports today,” said Gross.

IMG College has had a “longstanding, very productive” relationship with Syracuse, and is “proud” the school has chosen to remain part of IMG College’s national platform, Ben Sutton, Jr., chairman and president of IMG College, said in the SU news release.

“Our entire team is looking forward to the coming football and basketball seasons, particularly with Syracuse’s new ACC conference affiliation and the new rivalries Syracuse is developing,” said Sutton.

On its website, IMG College describes itself as “the nation’s leading collegiate-sports marketing company.”

IMG College, headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., is a division of London–based IMG.

Beverly Hills, Calif.–based William Morris Endeavor (WME) acquired IMG earlier this year.

WME is described as “the world’s leading entertainment and media agency” in the SU news release.
