SU names members for chancellor search committee

SYRACUSE — Syracuse University (SU) today disclosed some additional details about its search for a new chancellor.

The school revealed the full membership of the search committee, which will be led by Board of Trustees Vice Chairwoman Judge Joanne Alper. The group will also include additional trustees and representatives for faculty, students, deans, staff members, and the chancellor’s cabinet.

The committee will look to identify and recommend candidates for the full board to consider.

The board has hired executive search firm Spencer Stuart to aid in the search. A new website will be dedicated to the process and launch in the coming weeks, according to SU.

The committee will also run a campus-wide survey and host open forums to solicit feedback from the campus community, local community, and alumni. The full membership of the search committee can be found here.

Chancellor Nancy Cantor announced in October that she will leave her position when her contract ends in 2014.
