SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University announced it has appointed Dawn S. McWilliams as director of marketing and communications, effective Feb. 15.
McWilliams brings 30 years of higher-education experience from various colleges and universities in New York state. She most recently served as director of marketing and communications at Cornell University’s College of Engineering, where she has worked since 2011. Prior to that, McWilliams was the executive director for marketing and communications at the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon School of Business.
Her experience includes managing the strategic marketing and communications functions, developing high-performing teams, managing high-level public relations campaigns. and integrating the brands and concepts worldwide. McWilliams has also served on Cornell Engineering’s Diversity & Inclusion Internal Advisory group.
McWilliams has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, as well as an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
