MORRISVILLE — William Murabito will serve as interim president of Morrisville State College starting in February.
Murabito is the current interim president of Sullivan Community College. Bjong Wolf Yeigh, also president of the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome (SUNYIT), has led Morrisville since October 2011.
The SUNY Board of Trustees is reviewing shared services reports from Morrisville and SUNYIT and two other pairs of SUNY Schools. The board on Monday discussed starting a search for a permanent president of Morrisville in the fall, but no final decision has been made.
The Morrisville State College Council interviewed Murabito in anticipation of his appointment as interim president and fully supported his appointment, according to SUNY. As interim president, Murabito will be paid $175,000.
