SYRACUSE, N.Y. — SWBR Architects, a Rochester–based firm, recently announced it has appointed Matthew Lupiani to branch manager of its Central New York office.

Lupiani supports all of the firm’s design studios and manages the Syracuse office operations, located at 309 S. Franklin St., according to SWBR.

“Based on the talent and experience of our local team, our Central New York office is uniquely positioned for growth, specifically in the housing, commercial and education markets,” David Beinetti, SWBR’s president, said in a company news release. “Matt is a brilliant architect and leader, and we are proud to have him manage this charge.”

SWBR Architects was started in 1969 and today employs more than 70 people, according to its website. The firm says it specializes in sustainability, education, housing, health, science and technology, corporate/industrial, and municipal design. The architecture firm’s headquarters office is located at 387 E. Main St. in Rochester.
