SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Hancock International Airport is among seven New York airports that will host pop-up vaccination sites next week to inoculate travelers and others against COVID-19.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Thursday announced that the airport sites will be open for walk-in vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis, administering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The vaccine sites will be open from Monday, May 24 through Friday, May 28 at the following airports:

  • Buffalo Niagara International Airport
  • Greater Rochester International Airport
  • Syracuse Hancock International Airport
  • Albany International Airport
  • Westchester County Airport
  • LaGuardia Airport
  • JFK International Airport

The state’s new airport program seeks to bring the COVID-19 vaccine to more convenient locations similarly to the recently launched pilot program that brought pop-up vaccination sites to MTA stations.
