Syracuse Auto Dealers Association elects Barbuto as president

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Auto Dealers Association recently announced it has elected Gino Barbuto, East Syracuse Chevrolet owner, as its president for the coming year.

Barbuto, who started working as a service adviser at East Syracuse Chevrolet in 1986, assumed ownership of the business in late 2011 from previous owner Sidney M. Greenberg. During his 30-year career at the dealership, Barbuto has served as service manager, new-car manager, used-car sales manager, general manager, and operating partner.

The Syracuse Auto Dealers Association’s other officers for the coming year are:

  • Vice President — Stephen Byer (Alan Byer Auto Sales)
  • Secretary — Michael W. Spinelli (Heritage Lincoln)
  • Treasurer — Richard Burritt (RM Burritt Motors)
  • Past President — James B. Barr (Crest Cadillac/Acura)
