SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The ACC announced Tuesday that the Syracuse men’s basketball team will add a makeup game to its schedule on Wednesday March 3, when it hosts Clemson at the Carrier Dome.
The new game, which will tip off at tip at 5 p.m. on the ACC Network, was originally scheduled to be played on Jan. 12 but was postponed due to a COVID issue with the Clemson basketball program.
It will be the second matchup of the season between the Orange and Tigers. The teams met at Clemson on Feb. 6 with the Tigers dominating in a 78-61 victory.
Syracuse (13-7) (7-6 ACC) could use another game to aid its shaky NCAA Tournament chances, following Monday night’s blowout loss at Duke.
Next up for the Orange is a Saturday matchup with Georgia Tech (11-8) (7-6 ACC) in Atlanta, at 12 p.m. on the ACC Network. Syracuse will return home to host North Carolina (14-7) (8-5 ACC) on Monday, March 1 at 7 p.m. on ESPN, before taking on Clemson two days later.
