Syracuse basketball schedules Colgate for Nov. 13 non-conference game

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball has played Colgate University more than any other opponent, and the schools will meet again next season.

The Orange and the Raiders will square off in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Carrier Dome, Syracuse University announced Friday.

This will be the 172nd all-time meeting between Syracuse and Colgate, with the Orange holding a 126-45 lead in the series. Syracuse has a 53-game winning streak against its Madison County–based foe.

Colgate won both the regular-season and tournament titles in the Patriot League last season, when it won a school-record 24 games. The Raiders made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 23 years. Colgate, a No. 15 seed, lost in the 1st round to Tennessee, 77-70

Syracuse posted a 20-14 record last year, advancing to the NCAA Tournament as an 8 seed, but losing 78-69 in the 1st Round to Baylor.
