SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (SyracuseCoE) says it’s accepting proposals for up to $10,000 from current and new SyracuseCoE partners, including the broader university community.

Companies at all partner levels — industry, affiliate, and startup — can apply.

Member companies of the SyracuseCoE partner program provide funding for the Innovation Fund to help partners “overcome barriers in the process of commercializing potentially transformative innovations,” Syracuse University said in a news release.

Projects must address a challenge within SyracuseCoE’s core focus areas, which include indoor environmental quality, clean and renewable energy, and water resources.

Projects that include research work with faculty and students, support for product development and testing, and market analyses and proposal match requirement “are encouraged,” Syracuse said.

Applications are due Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. eastern time. Those applying will be invited to give a proposal pitch, via Zoom, with a panel of judges. Those interested can visit the SyracuseCoE Innovation Fund webpage to learn more.
