Syracuse football adds Western Michigan to future schedules

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University has announced that it will play Western Michigan University in football in 2018 and 2019.

Western Michigan will host the Orange at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sept. 1, 2018 in the season opener for both teams. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two FBS programs. The Orange will then welcome the Broncos to Syracuse on Sept. 21, 2019.

Syracuse University also announced that the Orange’s 2019 road game at Maryland, previously scheduled for Sept. 21, has been moved to Sept. 7 to accommodate the Western Michigan game.
