Syracuse football game vs. Clemson is officially sold out

The Syracuse Orange, seen on offense against Louisville in 2018, will host the No. 1 Clemson Tigers on Saturday night with Syracuse Athletics expecting a capacity crowd of more than 49,057 to attend, prompting the school to say the game is “officially sold out.” (Eric Reinhardt / BJNN file photo)

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Saturday’s Syracuse-Clemson football game in the Dome is an official sellout, with Syracuse University expecting a “capacity crowd of more than 49,057” to attend.

It’s the ninth football sellout in the Dome’s history and first since the 1998 season opener versus Tennessee, Syracuse Athletics said in a Thursday news release.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid potential delays. Parking lots open at 3 p.m. and Dome gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Kickoff for the game is set for 7:30 p.m. on ABC with Syracuse University graduate Sean McDonough, Kirk Herbstreit, and Maria Taylor on the call.

The Orange are the last team to beat Clemson in the regular season, winning 27-24 at the Dome on Oct. 13, 2017. Since then, the Tigers have won 19 straight regular-season games.
