Crews finished work on the project in 2013.
NYAMA established the award to recognize airport sponsors and their engineering and consultant teams for outstanding achievement in the execution of an aviation-related planning, design, or construction projects for airports located within New York.
Besides the NYAMA honor, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York honored the airport and C&S with its Gold award for engineering excellence in the transportation category, according to the news release.
“These recognitions are a testament to the vision and commitment shown by the city of Syracuse and the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) to plan, design and construct such a wonderful enhancement for the travelers. C&S is very proud to have been the planning, design and construction management firm for the four-year transformation,” John Trimble, president and COO of C&S Companies, said in the news release.
