SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department announced it has promoted Capt. Richard Trudell to deputy chief to oversee the department’s uniform bureau.
Lynette DelFavero, who currently serves in has that role, will retire at the end of this month after 21 years of service, the department said in a news release.
Trudell has served the department for 25 years and supervised various areas, including patrol division, intelligence section, technology division, and the gang violence task force.
Throughout her career, DelFavero served in “numerous” roles, the department said. She started working as an officer and eventually rose to the rank of deputy chief.
