The winter snowstorm pounding the Northeast, especially Central New York, forced the rescheduling of the game, which was supposed to be broadcast on ESPN.
“After consultation with Onondaga County and City of Syracuse authorities, as well as the NCAA, and with fan and participant safety the top priority, tonight’s NIT game between Syracuse and UNCG has been postponed,” Syracuse said in a statement.
Now, ESPN2 will carry the game between the number 1 seeded Orange (18-14) and 8th seeded Spartans (25-9) on Wednesday night.
Syracuse said that tickets already purchased will be honored. Fans with questions about tickets can contact the Carrier Dome Box Office at 1-888-DOME-TIX.
