Syracuse University, Galaxy Media Partners extend broadcast deal through 2024-25

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University Athletics and Syracuse–based Galaxy Media Partners announced they have extended their broadcast agreement through 2024-25.

The deal that features all regular-season and post-season games for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse began in 2007, Syracuse said in a Thursday news release. Galaxy Media Partners’ TK99 (WTKW 99.5 FM) will continue to serve as the flagship station for the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College.

The agreement with Galaxy Media was secured by Syracuse Sports Properties of Learfield IMG College, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder, which also manages all aspects of the radio network, Syracuse University said.

Galaxy will air all network programming, including game coverage, weekly radio shows for head football coach Dino Babers and head men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim during their respective seasons, and Orange Slice segments that air daily, providing highlights on all Syracuse University sports teams.

In addition, Galaxy stations also host regularly scheduled in-season appearances by head women’s basketball coach Quentin Hillsman and head men’s lacrosse coach John Desko, and several hours of daily locally produced programming that heavily features Syracuse University Athletics.
