SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Time Warner Cable Sports Channel will broadcast Friday night’s matchup between the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team and the Monmouth Hawks at the Carrier Dome.
It’s part of a deal in which Time Warner will televise Syracuse’s three remaining men’s basketball games scheduled for streaming on ACC Network Extra, Syracuse said in a news release.
The decision is “in response to Syracuse University fans’ requests to have games be available on television, in addition to a digital platform.”
Besides Friday night’s matchup with Monmouth, the games also include the matchups with South Carolina State next Tuesday and North Florida on Dec. 3.
“We have made this arrangement after hearing from our fans, who have expressed their desire to have men’s basketball games be available on television, as well as digitally,” John Wildhack, Syracuse University director of athletics, said in the release. “We would like to thank our partners at ESPN for their cooperation and Time Warner Cable Sports for their continued support of Syracuse Athletics.”
No financial terms of the arrangement were disclosed.
The ACC Network Extra production for Friday’s game against Monmouth will be available on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel in New York on the following channels:
- Syracuse and Albany – channel 324
- Buffalo – channel 87
- Rochester – channel 98
- Hudson Valley and New York City – Spectrum Sports overflow channel 324
The South Carolina State and North Florida games will be available on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel 323 across New York, according to the release.
Time Warner Cable Sports will soon become Spectrum Sports after Charter’s acquisition of Time Warner Cable. The Time Warner Cable Sports website, myspectrumsports.com, currently lists both names.
