DICKINSON, N.Y. — The Agency and Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce have released a COVID-19 tool kit to help area businesses and will host a webinar about it on Monday.

Tool kit

Businesses in the Southern Tier say their “greatest need for the moment” is a central source for information related to COVID-19 assistance.

That’s according to a recent survey of local businesses that the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce conducted.

The Leadership Alliance — which includes the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce and the Agency — released a resilience tool kit for Broome County businesses to provide a “comprehensive guide” to help area companies in “navigating this crisis,” per a Friday email message.

Those interested can find the tool kit here.

Webinar

The Leadership Alliance will host a free webinar to walk attendees through the toolkit and the help available for small businesses affected by the coronavirus shutdown of much of business and daily life.

The event is set for Monday, April 6 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The invited panelists will give a five-minute overview of their available resources.

The panelists will include the Small Business Development Center; Empire State Development; the Agency; Binghamton Local Development Corporation; United Way; and the New York State Department of Labor.

An interactive question and answer period will follow.

The event will cap at 100 attendees but a recording will be provided after the webinar.
