The Manor at Seneca Hill in Oswego formally opens new rehabilitation therapy center

OSWEGO, N.Y. — Oswego Healths The Manor at Seneca Hill recently opened a new rehabilitation therapy center for its residents who require physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy before returning home.

The new Center for Mobility & Rehabilitation at The Manor will help those needing special attention following surgery, an accident, a stroke, a hip or knee replacement, or needing rehabilitation after a fall, Oswego Health said in its announcement.

The facility renovated an existing space into the new center, Leigh Hilgenberg, administrator of The Manor at Seneca Hill, tells CNYBJ in an email.

Hilgenberg also said that the $50,000 project began mid-January and finished this month in time for the open house held March 19.

She adds that the project didnt require any major renovations to the existing space. The Manors in-house maintenance/environmental services department completed most of the work, which focused on lighting and flooring. The section of flooring at the former nurses station was completed by House Works of Fulton also completed a section of flooring in the former nurses station as well.

The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce joined Oswego Health and community members for an open house and official ribbon cutting on March 19. TheManors rehabilitation staff used the event to demonstrate each piece of equipment, Oswego Health noted.
