The MOST nets more than $90,000 in TAP fundraiser

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) says it raised net proceeds of $90,000 for the museum with its “TAP into the MOST” fundraiser this year.

The MOST said in a news release that it “broke all records” for the April 8 event. The museum sold out of tickets the day before the fundraiser and attracted nearly 1,400 attendees. That’s the most money raised and greatest number of tickets sold in the event’s 13-year history.

“We are grateful to our sponsors, vendors, and everyone who attended,” MOST Executive VP Lauren Kochian said in a release. “It was a great night with wonderful food, drinks, and music to raise funds for the important work of our museum’s education programs and ongoing preservation efforts.”

The MOST has begun planning for next year’s TAP fundraiser, which will be held on April 6, 2018. Kochian said she hopes the event will “sell out even sooner.”

The MOST is a hands-on science and technology museum for people of all ages.
