SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) is closing to the public “effective immediately” due to concerns about the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
Its projected re-open date is April 1, the MOST said in a news release. The museum will evaluate and consult its re-opening with city and county officials to “ensure the safety” of its visitors and staff.
“The MOST’s closing is to protect and enforce safe distancing during the Onondaga County State of Emergency,” per its Monday announcement. “As a science-based organization, we believe we are taking every measure necessary to keep our community safe and will continue to make decisions through the Onondaga County Health Department, New York State Department of Health, and [the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] to ensure the ultimate safety of our visitors and staff.”
