Three people die from COVID-19 in Oneida County in last day

UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County on Monday reported three new COVID-19-related deaths, two of which were nursing-home residents. That brings the county’s total deaths to 115 since the pandemic started.

Oneida County also reported the following coronavirus statistics:

  • 14 new positive cases, bringing the county’s total to 1,986
  • 8 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Oneida County (7 at MVHS, 1 at Rome Memorial), down from 9 patients the day before
  • 2 patients are admitted in a hospital outside Oneida County, up one from the day prior
  • 1 hospitalized patient in the county is a nursing-home resident receiving acute care (the person is at MVHS)
  • 207 active positive cases, up 7 from a day ago
  • 1,664 people with the virus have recovered, up 4 from the day before
  • 70,964 total tests have been conducted
  • 68,978 total negative results
  • 207 people are in mandatory isolation, up 7 from a day earlier
  • 1,057 are in mandatory quarantine, up 54 from Sunday

The county’s infection rate was 1.81 percent in the last day with 14 positives out of 772 total tests.
