OWEGO, N.Y. — Tioga State Bank on Friday formally opened the new location of its Tioga State Investment Services unit in a newly renovated building at 18 Lake St. in Owego.

It started operations in the new location on Sept. 1, Sarah Harrison Rayle, marketing manager for Tioga State Bank, tells BJNN.

The structure was previously home to a branch office of First Niagara Bank, which closed in early 2014.

The Owego office of Tioga State Investment Services previously operated at 923 State Route 17C. It also has an office in Ithaca.

The renovation work provides office space for two of the bank’s investment-management employees. The structure also houses four apartments and a 24/7 deposit-automated ATM, according to Tioga State Bank.

TSB Services, Inc., the holding company for Tioga State Bank, owns the building at 18 Lake St., the company said. It declined to disclose the project cost.

Tioga State Bank said Friday’s ribbon-cutting event used a ribbon including 100 one-dollar bills, which the bank will then donate to the music department at Owego Free Academy.
