Tioga State Bank opens Johnson City branch

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. — Tioga State Bank (TSB) unveiled its new Johnson City branch on Thursday, Aug. 29 with a ribbon cutting and other festivities.

“We think people are going to appreciate the friendly new face of banking we’re introducing here in Johnson City,” TSB President/CEO Robert Fisher said in an announcement about the grand opening. “We invite current and new customers to experience the high-tech, high-touch personal service TSB provides.”

The new branch is TSB’s fifth location in Broome County, joining offices in Binghamton, Endwell, and Vestal. Located at 716 Harry L. Drive, the Johnson City location features a full-service lobby, drive-up service, and interactive teller machines that provide video banking.

“Located at a convenient intersection in the heart of Broome County, our JC community banking office delivers all the customer conveniences expected by today’s consumer and small business,” Johnson City Office Manager Jim Savage said.

Along with grand-opening festivities and special promotions to mark the new location, TSB plans to be involved in the community. This fall, TSB will open an in-school student office for students, staff, and administration at Johnson City High School.

“The addition of Tioga State Bank in Johnson City is another great step forward in the ongoing community development efforts in our region,” state Senator Lea Webb said. “TSB is a vital resource that will provide residents and businesses with the tools they need to grow and thrive. As Johnson City continues to develop, having strong, community-focused partners like TSB will be key to our success. The new location represents a commitment to supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and investing in the future of our community.”
