Bailey Place Insurance will open its third location in September at the intersection of North Triphammer Road and Craft Road in Lansing, the release said.
The agency purchased the new building on North Triphammer Road in June and crews are currently handling renovation work.
With more than 20 employees, Bailey Place Insurance describes itself in the news release as “one of the largest privately owned, independent agencies in Central New York.”
It said it represents most “major” insurance companies and provides insurance and risk-management services for families, businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations across the region.
“The decision to open an office in Lansing was made to better serve our existing client base as well as to expand our reach into Tompkins County,” Stephen Franco, president of Bailey Place, said in the release.
The agency said has had a presence in Tompkins County since 1936 when George B. Bailey opened up the Bailey Agency from his garage on Library Street in Dryden, according to the news release.
The George B. Bailey Agency and Place Insurance merged in 2013 to form Bailey Place Insurance.
