Tompkins Financial names Angelis new president of Tompkins Financial Advisors

ITHACA — Tompkins Financial Corp. (stock ticker: TMP) today announced it has named Stephen Angelis president of Tompkins Financial Advisors, the banking company’s wealth-management division.

In addition, he will serve as a member of the leadership team of Tompkins Financial, according to a news release.  

Angelis will join the company on Feb. 18. He and his family currently live in Ohio, but are relocating to the Ithaca area, Tompkins Financial said.

Angelis most recently served as managing partner and private-equity investor with GAN Investments, LLC, of Columbus, Ohio. Altogether, he brings 28 years of leadership experience to his position at Tompkins Financial Advisors.

“We are extremely committed to the long-term success of our wealth management division and look forward to Steve working as a strategic business partner with our banks and insurance division,” Stephen Romaine, president and CEO of Tompkins Financial, said in the news release.

Tompkins Financial Advisors specializes in investment management, financial planning, risk management, tax services, trust and estate administration, and charitable giving, the company said.

It has offices in Ithaca, Pittsford and White Plains, along with Pennsylvania locations in Wyomissing and Blue Bell.

Headquartered in Ithaca, Tompkins Financial is a financial services company serving the Central, Western, and Hudson Valley regions of New York and the southeastern region of Pennsylvania.

In addition to Tompkins Financial Advisors, Tompkins Financial is parent to Tompkins Trust Company, The Bank of Castile, Mahopac Bank, VIST Bank, and Tompkins Insurance Agencies, Inc.
