ITHACA — Tompkins Financial Corp. (NYSE: TMP) announced it has promoted Susan Valenti to executive vice president of corporate marketing. In this position, Valenti manages marketing, public relations, internal communications, and commercial deposit sales and service for Tompkins Financial’s four banks, as well as Tompkins Insurance Agencies and Tompkins Financial Advisors.

Valenti joined the Tompkins Financial organization as senior vice president in March, 2012. She has worked in the banking industry for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Tompkins Financial, Valenti worked at JPMorgan Chase. She has an MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio.

Valenti is a member of the New York Bankers Association and the Financial Communications Society.
