Nicotra’s responsibilities will include the dissemination of public communications and information with various government, private and nonprofit partners in the community, McMahon’s office said in a Tuesday news release.

Nicotra will also work with those entities to find “new and collaborative” ways to help implement McMahon’s vision for Onondaga County. They’ll also work to address “pressing” issues such as poverty, infrastructure, and a restructured approach to economic development.

“Mark has done an outstanding job as supervisor of the Town of Salina and I am grateful that he has agreed to join our team and help implement our vision for our community as a whole.” McMahon said in the news release.
