HERKIMER — The new Herkimer Tractor Supply Co. store held its grand opening Saturday after officially opening for business Nov. 3.

The Herkimer location is Tractor Supply Company’s 67th store in New York and employs 14 people, including Store Manager Cindy Abare. The facility has about 19,000 square feet including the sales floor and support service space. The company also operates a store at Riverside Center in Utica.

“Herkimer is a great location for Tractor Supply Co. because it’s centrally located and there is a large population of farmers in the area,” Abare said in a release.

As store manager, Abare oversees all store operations including receiving, inventory control, and merchandising as well as customer and team-member relations.

Regular operating hours for the store, located at 716 Mohawk St., are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday.

Tractor Supply (NASDAQ: TSCO) operates more than 1,100 stores in 45 states and focuses on supplying lifestyle needs of recreational farmers and ranchers with agricultural products, tools, hardware, light truck equipment, work clothing, lawn and garden power equipment, and pet foods.
