“The Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation has long been a strong supporter of the College and our students from Tioga County,” Julie Gerg, the executive director of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation, said in a release. “Hundreds of students have benefited from their generosity. We are extremely grateful for the partnership we have shared with the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation and look forward to continuing to work together to help students from Tioga County succeed.”
All the money from the grant goes directly to students. To be eligible, a student must be a Tioga County resident; must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 while enrolled in a degree program; and must demonstrate financial need.
Grant amounts are based on need, but typically range from $400 to $1,000 per year, per the school.
