VERONA, N.Y. — Turning Stone has appointed Dustin Tuthill as chef de cuisine of 7 Kitchens, the resort’s reimagined buffet restaurant opening in April.

Formerly the chef the cuisine of Upstate Tavern, Tuthill has earned recognition for his culinary skills and will bring that same culinary craftmanship to developing the 7 Kitchens concept that will redefine the traditional buffet experience, Oneida Nation Enterprises said in a release.

Tuthill began his culinary career 18 years ago at Oneida Nation Enterprises making fudge at Turning Stone’s Opals Confectionary. After attending culinary school, he started as an entry-level cook at Wildflowers and worked his way up to chef de cuisine. Tuthill helped open several restaurants across Oneida Nation Enterprises, including Upstate Tavern.

The new 7 Kitchens will be a market-style restaurant featuring a variety of food including Italian, seafood, Asian, a carving station, a grill station, a taco bar, and a bakery area. The restaurant will seat more than 275 guests, making it Turning Stone’s largest restaurant.

In preparation for the restaurant’s grand opening, Tuthill and chefs from across Oneida Nation Enterprises will interview candidates at the “Spring Into a New Career Hiring Event” on Thursday, Feb. 10 at Turning Stone. The resort offers more than 20 dining options for guests.
