UDig NY hopes the event will attract excavators, facility operators, government officials, and students pursuing careers in construction or engineering careers. The event is free, and professionals and students are welcome to attend one or both days.

“We are excited to bring experts from so many industries together in the beautiful Hudson Valley to share knowledge and improve damage prevention outcomes,” Kevin Hopper, executive director UDig NY, said in the announcement. “I encourage anyone in the construction, excavation, or utility industries to mark their calendars for October 15 and 16.”

The 2024 Damage Prevention Conference & Expo will include educational sessions for excavators and contractors, locating professionals, administrative and human resources (HR) professionals, as well as other specializations. The event will also include the chance to earn Certified Excavator in Safe Digging Best Practices (CEP) certification or renewal.

Select sessions will also include opportunities to earn Continuing Education (CEU) credits in a variety of fields, the organization said.

In addition to educational sessions, the conference will include exhibitors, equipment displays, and opportunities to network with professionals in the utility, excavation, and damage prevention industries.

Additional information about sessions, credits, and free registration will be posted on UDigNY.org/Conference in the coming weeks, per the announcement.
