BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Michael McNally, vice president for human resources at UHS Hospitals, was recently named to the New York State Workforce Investment Board (SWIB). He will serve a three-year term, according to a news release from UHS.
SWIB is the governing body for the workforce-development, one-stop services delivery system of New York state as designated under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998.
The state Department of Labor is the administrator of WIA funds and staff to the board. The panel includes 49 members — eight from the executive branch of state government, four from the legislative branch, 25 from the business community, and 12 other members, according to the release.
UHS says it is a locally owned, not-for-profit, 916-bed hospital and health-care system serving Greater Binghamton and its surrounding counties.
