VESTAL — UHS has expanded its offerings in the Southern Tier with the opening of UHS Vestal, a new outpatient health-care facility, at 4417 Vestal Parkway East. An open house is slated for Oct. 6.
UHS Vestal is home to UHS Breast Cancer, a UHS walk-in center, and medical offices in primary care, pediatrics, rheumatology, cardiology, and gynecology. On-site services include pharmacy, laboratory, imaging, and MRI. The facility is next door to UHS Home Care and the future home of a UHS physical therapy suite.
“Leading primary care physicians, specialists, and advanced practice providers, plus top nursing staff and technicians, are providing care in the all-new UHS Vestal, bringing to one location the expertise of a wide range of clinical disciplines,” UHS President and CEO Matthew Salanger said in a news release. “This is a major investment in the future of quality care for the people of our community.”
Located on seven acres, the $30 million, 88,000-square-foot medical complex took about 18 months to build on the site of the former Press & Sun Bulletin building.
UHS will next open the physical therapy and rehabilitation suite, which will focus on post-surgical rehabilitation for total joint replacement, spinal procedures, and rotator-cuff repair, next door at 4401 Vestal Parkway East.
UHS (www.uhs.net) is a locally owned 916-bed hospital and health-care system. Founded in 1981, UHS provides care from more than 60 locations around the Southern Tier.
