Universal American, a family of health-care companies that provides health benefits to patients with Medicare and Medicaid, has announced several new employees who will join the company’s Northeast regional headquarters in Syracuse. Holly Bennett has been hired as Today’s Options case manager. Prior to joining Universal American, she was a telehealth nurse at Arnot Health. Bennett received her registered-nurse certification and associate degree in nursing from Corning Community College. Lorry Stubley was hired as executive director of Today’s Options Clinical Programs. She comes to Universal American with an extensive background in health care and business management. Stubley received her master’s degree in health service management from the New School for Social Research, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY IT, her associate degree in nursing from Mohawk Valley Community College, and a Lean Six Sigma Certification from Purdue University. Kara Thoreck joins the company as an executive assistant. She previously worked at not-for-profit organizations and has extensive experience supporting top-level executives.
