Becker’s Hospital Review has named Upstate University Hospital’s CEO as one of the nation’s top 100 physician leaders of hospitals and health systems.
Dr. John McCabe, Upstate University Hospital’s CEO, made the list, which Becker’s Hospital Review published in its May issue. The publication based its list on leaders’ experience, commitment to quality care, and awards received.
It is the third appearance on a Becker’s Hospital Review list in 18 months for McCabe, according to a news release from Upstate University Hospital. He was on two previous listings of top health system and hospital leaders.
McCabe is the senior vice president for hospital affairs at Upstate University Hospital, as well as its CEO. He also is the chairman of the board of directors of the American Board of Medical Specialties, which oversees physician specialist certifications in the United States.
