U.S. Army names SRC prime contractor on $37 billion CECOM contract

CICERO, N.Y. — The U.S. Army Contracting Command has named SRC, Inc. a prime contractor on a 10-year, $37 billion contract supporting communications-electronics command, or CECOM.

It is a responsive strategic sourcing for services (RS3), indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, SRC said in news release.

The RS3 contract will provide knowledge-based program support services for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) organizations throughout the federal government, per SRC. These services include engineering; research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E); logistics; acquisition and strategic planning; along with education and training support.

SRC will work with CECOM to help it achieve its mission to “develop, acquire, provide and sustain world class C4ISR systems and battle command capabilities for the joint warfighter,” the release stated.

SRC is a nonprofit corporation headquartered in Cicero that focuses on areas that include defense, environment, and intelligence.

SRC also used its news release to reiterate that it’s working to fill more than 300 positions over the next year. The company is currently hiring digital, software, systems and test engineers across the U.S. to support the company’s research and development projects.
