SYRACUSE — The New York Upstate Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has named Diane Brandli as its advocate of the year.
The organization made the announcement during the annual New York State Green Building Conference held in Syracuse.
The USGBC presents the award to an individual who’s actively involved in green building and its supporting disciplines, either in a professional or volunteer capacity, the organization said in a news release.
Brandli is a New York state-certified interior designer and is Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED)-accredited with over 30 years of experience, the USGBC said.
Brandli owns dbdesign in Liverpool, a business in which she consults on commercial projects both as a sustainability and interior-design consultant.
She previously served for nine years as director of interior design at Ashley McGraw Architects with a focus on school districts, higher education, and municipal clients.
