UTICA, N.Y. — Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri on Monday said City of Utica’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will handle two “major” demolition projects.
The DPW on Monday begins work demolishing the former Cornhill Senior Center at 313 James St. in Utica. The department also has plans to demolish the structure at 10 & 20 Barnes Ave. in Utica.
The demolition of 10 & 20 Barnes Avenue is tentatively scheduled to begin in March. The start date is subject to change based on weather conditions.
