Vera House Foundation announces new officers

SYRACUSE — The Vera House Foundation announced its new slate of officers for the 2013 – 2014 board of trustees. Officers nominated at the June 12 Foundation meeting were: Chairperson Sondra Goldberg of Fayetteville, an active community volunteer; Vice Chair Lynn Horowitch of Cazenovia, an active community volunteer; Vice Chair Jodi DeAugustine of Cicero, branch manager at Pathfinder Bank; Treasurer Warren Wolfson of Baldwinsville, partner at the Syracuse–based law firm Hancock & Estabrook, LLP; and Secretary Sharon Slater of Skaneateles, executive director of SkanRaces.com.

 

New Vera House Foundation trustees that were recently elected to serve a three-year term include: Rachel Galusha of Fayetteville, senior business relationship manager for KeyBank; Neil Gold of Manlius, an active community volunteer; Kim Jeffery of Manlius, owner of DKT Enterprises; and Denise McGraw of Brewerton, an independent business consultant with Arbonne International.

 

Vera House says it works to end domestic and sexual violence in the community through various programs and services. The agency provides a 24-hour crisis, support and information line, and emergency shelter to ensure that women and children are safe from violence. Actively engaged in domestic and sexual violence education and training in the community, Vera House offers counseling and advocacy services for victims of domestic and sexual violence and children who witness abuse.
