The Vestal location offers products and services for plumbing, HVAC, kitchen and bath projects, along with a retail showroom, VP Supply said. The Norwich location offers products for plumbing and heating needs.
VP Supply also acquired United Fasteners & Hardware, which operates just outside the city of Auburn, in a transaction that closed in October, the release stated. The company has one location that provides hardware supplies such as nuts, bolts, screws, and paints.
The three new branches expand VP Supply’s existing footprint of 13 branches and eight showrooms that are located across New York and western Pennsylvania, the company said.
The acquisitions increase VP Supply’s total employee count to 312.
VP Supply’s 80,000-square-foot Rochester warehouse and “increased buying leverage” will support the new locations, the company said.
VP Supply Corp. liked the operations at Tri-Bro and United Fasteners and figured they were a “good match” in organizational values, Gary Perkins, vice president of VP Supply Corp., said in the news release.
“Tri-Bro’s products and services mesh nicely with VP Supply’s offerings, and give us two physical locations to better serve our existing customers in those areas,” Gary Perkins, vice president of VP Supply, said. “And by bringing United Fasteners on board, we’re better able to serve our Auburn contractor base with an expanded product offering.”
