Ward Arcuri Law Firm forms in New Hartford following merger

NEW HARTFORD — Andrew Ward and Michael Arcuri recently announced a merger of the Ward Law Firm with the Michael A. Arcuri Law Office. They established the new Ward Arcuri Law Firm, located at 44 Oxford Road in New Hartford.

Ward will continue to handle all aspects of estate, trust, and Medicaid planning, while Arcuri brings his experience in real estate, labor & employment, and corporate law to the newly established Ward Arcuri Law Firm, according to a news release from the firm.

With more than 20 years of experience, Ward established the Ward Law Firm in 2009 and has practiced exclusively in estate, trust, Medicaid planning, and business succession. He has served on the board of several community organizations and is currently a member of the board of SUNY Poly Foundation and president of the board of directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Utica.

The Michael Arcuri Law Office practiced real estate, business law, and labor and employment law. Arcuri also previously served as Oneida County District Attorney and as a member of Congress for New York’s 24th Congressional District. He is currently an administrative law judge and panel member of the NYS Industrial Board of Appeals and is the plan administrator for the Oneida County Assigned Counsel Program.

The Ward Arcuri Law Firm also has on its team Robert Malpezzi, who serves as the firm’s director of Medicaid planning. He has more than 23 years of Medicaid experience as the former director of Medicaid recovery for Oneida County for over 16 years. Malpezzi had been with the Ward Law Firm for the last six years.

Ward and Arcuri said in the release that they merged because “we want to offer our estate and Medicaid planning clients a broader and more comprehensive selection of legal services, and now we will be able to accomplish that.”
