Wells Fargo opens middle-market office in Albany area, led by Le Moyne alum

ALBANY, N.Y. — Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) recently announced it has opened its first middle-market banking office in the Capital Region.

Wells Fargo named Bryant Cassella regional VP and market leader for the new office.

Cassella brings 25 years of financial-services experience at KeyBank to his new post. Under Cassella’s leadership for the past 13 years, KeyBank’s middle market business grew “significantly,” Wells Fargo said in a news release.

Cassella earned his bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse and MBA from Union College in Schenectady.

At Wells Fargo, Cassella will “lead and grow” the team now working with clients in upstate New York to offer commercial-banking products and services, including commercial and real-estate loans, treasury management, global banking, foreign exchange, capital markets, and specialty lending divisions, including food and beverage and agribusiness finance, according to the release.

The new Wells Fargo middle-market banking office is located at 427 New Karner Road in the town of Colonie, along with the bank’s treasury management and Wells Fargo Advisors divisions.

Wells Fargo says it ranks first in total middle-market banking share in the U.S. and has more than 150 commercial offices in 38 states and four Canadian provinces. The bank says its middle-market banking unit serves businesses with annual revenue of $20 million or more.
