What channel is Syracuse basketball’s ACC Tournament 2nd Round game on? (vs. North Carolina)

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Syracuse men’s basketball (20-12), fresh off its first-ever ACC Tournament win Tuesday  over Wake Forest, looks for an encore Wednesday night when it faces the 12th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels (22-9).

The game tips off at about 9:30 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and will be televised nationally on ESPN 2 and on ACC Network affiliate stations. In the Syracuse market, the ACC network station showing the contest will be WSTM NBC Channel 3.

Fans can also stream the game on the Watch ESPN app and at theacc.com.

Syracuse has won two straight games to reach 20 wins and revive its NCAA at-large bid chances, which had been on life support. The Orange toppled the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 73-64 in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Tuesday evening. Freshman forward Marek Dolezaj scored a career-high 20 points as Syracuse led from start to finish.

It was the school’s first league tournament win in four tries since joining the ACC in 2013-2014. That followed a 55-52 Cuse conquest of then 18th ranked Clemson at the Carrier Dome last Saturday afternoon. It was the first Orange victory over a Top 25 ranked team this season.

Defending national champion North Carolina enters the ACC Tournament, coming off two straight losses to Miami and Duke, respectively. The Tar Heels finished the ACC regular season at 11-7, which put it in a four-way tie for 3rd place. UNC lost the tie breaker to each of the three other teams — Miami (Fla.), Clemson, and NC State — and fell all the way down to the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament.

What’s at stake for Syracuse?

The Orange — now up to 20 wins including three Quadrant 1 victories, sporting one of the better RPIs among bubble teams, and with no bad losses — may have done just enough already to be placed into the NCAA bracket this Sunday, depending on the bracketologist you ask. But Syracuse can solidify its chances with a win over North Carolina on Wednesday night.

Syracuse is 1-6 against the Tar Heels since joining the ACC and 4-10 all-time. North Carolina won this season’s meeting 78-74 at the Carrier Dome, just two weeks ago.
