BLACKSBURG, VA. — Syracuse basketball (10-7, 3-3 ACC) looks to keep its recent resurgence going when the Orange visit the Virginia Tech Hokies (13-4, 4-2 ACC) on Saturday afternoon
The game tips off just after 12 p.m. at Cassell Coliseum and will be televised on ACC regional sports network (RSN) affiliates. Eric Collins and Brian Oliver will be the announcers.
In Central New York and many New York state markets, viewers will be able to see the game on the YES Network.

In other markets outside New York, the contest will be shown on 15 more regional sports networks including these: AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, FOX Sports Detroit PLUS, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports South, NBC Sports Washington PLUS, NESNplus, ROOT Sports, and SportsTime Ohio.
Syracuse is coming off a 76-50 home win over Boston College on Wednesday night in a game that was never in much doubt. Buddy Boeheim paced the Orange with 22 points and Elijah Hughes scored 19 points despite sustaining a hard fall in the first half. It was Syracuse’s second straight win.
Virginia Tech last played Tuesday night, when the Hokies secured an 80-70 win at Wake Forest. Tyrece Radford and Landers Nolley each scored 21 points. The young Hokies are the big surprise story in the ACC this season. In the preseason, Virginia Tech was picked to finish at the bottom of the conference. First-year coach Mike Young has led the team to seven victories in its last eight contests.
Saturday afternoon’s game is the 15th all-time meeting between Virginia Tech and Syracuse, with the Orange leading the series 9-5. But the Hokies have won the last two matchups between the teams and three of the last four. Virginia Tech just defeated Syracuse 67-63 at the Dome on Jan. 7 after they blitzed the Orange with a barrage of three pointers in the second half of that ball game.
