What channel is the Syracuse basketball game on? (vs. Clemson)

Syracuse basketball (18-12 overall, 7-10 ACC) wraps up its regular season Saturday afternoon when it hosts the Clemson Tigers (22-7, 11-6).

The game tips off at 2 p.m. at the Carrier Dome and will be televised on ACC Network affiliate stations. In the Syracuse market, the game will be shown on WSTM NBC Channel 3.

In other Central New York markets, the contest will be available on the following TV stations, according to the ACC:

  • Binghamton: WBPN (My 8)
  • Elmira: WJKP-TV Twin Tiers
  • Utica: WPNY-LP Channel 11
  • Watertown: WWTI ABC 50

Elsewhere in upstate New York, viewers can see the Tigers-Orange game on these TV stations:

  • Albany: WNYA (My 4)
  • Buffalo: WNLO CW 23
  • Rochester: WHAM-D2 (CW WHAM)

Syracuse enters the Clemson game coming off three straight losses, with its NCAA bubble hopes significantly deflated. That includes a crushing 85-70 loss at Boston College on Wednesday night.

After the loss to BC, Orange coach Jim Boeheim summed up his team’s predicament.

“This team’s battled all year. They’re trying everything … I can’t even get upset with them. They’re doing everything they can. We’re just limited,” he said.

Clemson, ranked No. 18, enters the Syracuse game on a two-game winning streak, with both of those wins at home (vs. Georgia Tech and Florida St.). The Tigers have lost their last two road contests (at Florida St. and Virginia Tech).

What’s at stake for Syracuse?

The Orange are in pure desperation mode now, sitting outside the NCAA bubble. Syracuse must beat Clemson to finish out the ACC regular season at 8-10 and then likely win multiple games in next week’s ACC Tournament in Brooklyn to revive its chances to make the NCAA Tournament. A loss to the Tigers would likely finish off any Orange March Madness hopes, unless Cuse could make a death-defying run at the ACC Tournament to win it and take the league’s automatic NCAA bid.

Syracuse won its last game with Clemson 82-81 on the road last season. The Orange and the Tigers have split their four meetings since Syracuse joined the ACC in the 2013-2014 season. That includes splitting the two faceoffs at the Carrier Dome.
